Since I was very young I always loved drawing, doodling, arts & crafts. I often imagined that my love would eventually become my profession, and I am so grateful that it happened that way.

It was in high school where my artistic abilities were expanded into sculpture, painting, design, and sketching. Mr. Herman, was my first Art teacher, and I still think, he was the most talented man I have  known. With his guidance, I won first prize, in a local Art Show for a watercolor, and the highest grade average in my graduating class for Art.

My professional career as a "Letterhead" (Sign Painter), started 29 years ago, with a Fitch and a dixie cup of "One Shot", 30' in the air on a roadside Billboard. Later, in the mid 80's I was a Staff Artist, doing "paste-up" for a successful engraving co., and after 4 years I was promoted to Art Director.  I gained valuable experience by dealing directly with the customers, and providing them with what they needed in pre-press work.

In 1991, I went to work part time with another talented man, Jack Coakley, at Coakley Signs in Green Cove Springs, Fl. He would become another mentor for me, and when he was ready to retire in 1996, Coakley Signs became Kelly's Signs.

Since I started my career as a SIGN ARTIST, a lot has changed in the way advertising & signage is designed and produced. Computers have certainly expanded the possibilities. One thing that has not changed, is my passion for CUSTOMER  SERVICE & SATISFACTION.

Its important to me that my signs, do what they are intended to do.  whatever that might be, let me explain.... Sometimes they are "Temporary" and "inexpensive", sometimes they are asked to perform for "As long as possible, under extreme circumstances" and sometimes...they are just meant to be beautiful "Works of Art".

IF you call me for a quote....expect me to ask you questions about your project.  This will assist me in finding out everything I need to know to put my experience to work for you, and provide you with what you need or want.

I have been lucky enough to work with some extremely talented people over the last 30 years.  My artistic abilities have lead me to some rather interesting projects, and have been used in such things as a Music Video "The Secret of Life" by Faith Hill, an Independent Film called "Things That Hang From Tree's" and a WB Pilot Series called "Safe Harbor"., to name a few.

I never know WHAT I might be doing next,....hanging on the side of a Ocean freighter, painting the name in 2' letters or  Etching  half inch names and dates on a crystal vase  for a wedding gift.

No matter how large or small your project, rest assured it will get my complete "Attention to Detail". An approach that my customers have come to expect from me.
